Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Baroness Tonge (Liberal Democrat), on Tuesday, 13 March 2001, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 42 members in total.
TELEPHONE ADVERTISEMENTS
That this House regrets the increasing clutter of advertisements in the street, particular the recent introduction of advertisements on telephone boxes; is concerned that such advertisements are not only an eyesore but also a threat to personal safety; and therefore calls upon Her Majesty's Government to give local planning authorities the power to control them.
