Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Joseph Ashton (Labour), on Wednesday, 14 March 2001, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 19 members in total.
DUKE OF DEVONSHIRE AND POSTPONEMENT OF ELECTIONS
That this House notes the demands by the Duke of Devonshire and countryside leaders that the possible date of 3rd May for the General Election be postponed, but points out that such a postponement would mean the Hunting with Hounds (Abolition) Bill would then be able to complete all its stages through Parliament.
