ROYAL COMMISSION ON ANIMAL EXPERIMENTS
That this House recognises the continued public unease surrounding the use of animal experiments; notes the half million signature petition presented to the Prime Minister's Office by Naturewatch supporters; deplores the excessive secrecy which still permeates the animal experiment industry; and urges Her Majesty's Government to set up a Royal Commission inquiry to review the effectiveness of and justification for animal experiments.
