VICTORIAN DUNDEE

That this House welcomes the publication of Victorian Dundee: Image and Realities, edited by Louise Miskell, Christopher A Whatley and Bob Harris; recognises that this book makes a major contribution to our understanding of the history of Dundee, telling the story of the city at a time when contemporaries were struck by its energy, optimism and commitment to social provision; and further notes the excellent work of the Department of History in the University in the University of Dundee in the fields of Scottish, British and international history.
