That this House congratulates Mr Nigel Hastilow, the Conservative prospective Parliamentary candidate for Birmingham, Edgbaston on having the courage to give his honest opinions about his party to those whose support he seeks; notes his belief that 'to many voters ... the Conservative party is a lost cause' and that 'Its Leader is not popular'; and would deplore any attempt by Edgbaston Conservative Association to repay his honesty by seeking to remove him as its candidate.
