Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Elfyn Llwyd (Plaid Cymru), on Tuesday, 30 January 2001, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 4 members in total.
EXPENDITURE OF PUBLIC FUNDS ON SPECIAL ADVISERS
That this House notes that special advisers to ministers are paid for from the public purse; demands the highest standards of probity by such advisers; accordingly condemns Adrian McMenamin, employed by the Secretary of State for Wales, for denigrating Plaid Cymru - The Party of Wales' elected members in internet newsgroups; believes that this is a gross misuse of public funds; and demands that the Secretary of State removes Adrian McMenamin from his office forthwith.
