Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Wayne David (Labour), on Tuesday, 2 July 2002, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 67 members in total.
ADVERTISING IN THE ANTI-EURO CAMPAIGN
That this House expresses its concern about the recently launched cinema advertising campaign of the 'Europe yes, Euro no campaign'; acknowledges that there are genuine and strongly held views for and against the single European currency but considers it offensive and inappropriate that the anti-euro campaign is using Nazi imagery in an attempt to denigrate the euro; and calls on the 'no' campaign to withdraw the cinema advert immediately.
