ALAIN BAXTER'S OLYMPIC ALPINE SKIING SUCCESS
That this House recognises the tremendous achievement of Scottish skier Alain Baxter in winning the Olympic Bronze Medal at Salt Lake City; offers congratulations on both Alain's personal achievement and that of his trainers and team who supported him in becoming the first British Olympic medal winner in alpine skiing; and urges the Government to acknowledge the need to provide funding and opportunities for training to enable future generations of young British skiers to follow Alain's example.
