Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Nick Palmer (Labour), on Tuesday, 26 June 2001, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 76 members in total.
ETHICAL PENSION INVESTMENT OPTION
That this House notes the concern of honourable Members over investments by the Parliamentary Pensions Fund in firms dealing with tobacco and arms exports; recognises that trustees must take the views of all honourable Members into account; and encourages them to explore the possibility of giving honourable Members the option to have their pensions held in a fund with explicit ethical investment criteria.
