Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Peter Bradley (Labour), on Wednesday, 11 July 2001, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 97 members in total.

NATIONAL FOOTBALL STADIUM IN THE WEST MIDLANDS

That this House acknowledges the place of Wembley Stadium in England's sporting history but believes that the development of a new state-of-the-art stadium in the West Midlands with road, rail and air access to all parts of the country offers the best opportunity to avoid the mistakes made over the siting of the Millennium Dome and provides a truly national stadium for the twenty-first century.
