PENSIONS FOR WOMEN

That this House acknowledges that women receive just 32p for every ??1 of income received by men in a pensioner couple and almost a quarter of single female pensioners now live in poverty; supports Age Concern and the Fawcett Society's Let's Make Pensions Work for Women campaign; and calls on the Government to address this inequality to ensure that all pension contributions count, that there are better opportunities for all women to build up decent levels of private pensions, that caring responsibilities are properly rewarded and that better and affordable financial education is available to all.
