Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Helen Clark (Labour), on Wednesday, 22 October 2003, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 16 members in total.
TRANSFER OF OLDER PEOPLE'S HOMES
That this House recognises that the transfer of older people's homes to specialist providers can bring immense benefits to residents in terms of health and well-being; therefore welcomes the publication of extra guidance in Annex D of the ODPM's Housing Transfer Manual 2003, concerning good practice in the transfer of older people's homes to housing associations; and encourages local authorities considering stock transfer options to understand the needs of older people to ensure they to not become a forgotten part of the transfer process.
