Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Graham Stringer (Labour), on Tuesday, 3 June 2003, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 13 members in total.
GREATER MANCHESTER TRAM SYSTEM
That this House is extremely concerned at the incident that took place on the Bury section of the Greater Manchester tram system at 3.30pm on Friday 30th May when two trams made emergency stops to avoid a head on collision; believes that Serco, the tram operating company, should make public the findings of its inquiry into the incident at the earliest opportunity; and further condemns Serco's deliberate attempt to keep the incident secret which should disqualify them from running the service in future.
