Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Austin Mitchell (Labour), on Tuesday, 8 April 2003, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 15 members in total.
PERFORMANCE OF THE EURO (No.10)
That this House notes the announcement on 3rd April of the latest German unemployment figures for March, which shows that seasonally adjusted unemployment has risen by 44,000, taking German unemployment to 4.61 million; notes that German unemployment has now risen every month bar one since the launch of euro notes and coins on 1st January 2002; and believes that this shows that the euro is not working.
