That this House welcomes the start of the Year of the Blues on 1st February, which marks 100 years since W.C. Handy, the 'Father of the Blues', first picked up the music in a train station in Mississippi; and looks forward to the 3rd International Gloucester Blues and Heritage Festival between 28th July and 3rd August.
