Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Andy King (Labour), on Thursday, 14 November 2002, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 52 members in total.
ADOPTION OF PRIVATE SEWERS
That this House welcomes the research being undertaken on behalf of DEFRA into the extent of the problem of unadopted sewers affecting households, in many cases without the residents realising it; further welcomes the Water Bill to be tabled this session; and calls on the Secretary of State to ensure that the research is published on schedule and include measures in the Water Bill to tackle the problem and in the meantime seek interim solutions for those affected by the problem now.
