CANCER CHARITIES
That this House applauds the action taken by the 17 cancer charities to highlight the dangers of cancer; recognises the benefits of a co-ordinated approach to cancer detection, research, treatment and prevention through the creation of an anti-cancer strategy across the NHS; welcomes their excellent 'Call for Action' document; and calls for increased resources to be allocated to the prevention and treatment of cancer in the UK.
