DIGNITY AT WORK

That this House believes that every employee should have the right to dignity at work; welcomes the benefits for employees of the Government's measures since 1997, especially those contained within the Employment Act 2002; supports the measures being taken by the Health and Safety Executive against stress and bullying at work; notes with concern, however, the high level of bullying indicated by the large number of callers to the Andrea Adams Trust's National Helpline; supports the ongoing campaign by Amicus to highlight the issue; recognises the harm bullying causes employees, employer and the economy; and calls upon the Government to support measures to reduce bullying in the workplace.
