Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Jeremy Corbyn (Labour), on Thursday, 11 November 2004, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 28 members in total.
MORDECHAI VANUNU
That this House learns with horror of the aggressive re-arrest of Mordechai Vanunu from within the cathedral compound by the Israeli authorities on 11th November, at a time when the world is absorbing President Arafat's passing; recalls that since he was released after spending 18 years in prison he has been denied the right to a normal life as a free man due to the many significant and unjust restrictions placed upon him; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to liaise with the Israeli authorities with a view to ensuring he is released as a matter of urgency.
