UNITED NATIONS INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE
That this House duly recognises and celebrates the United Nations Day of Peace on 21st September, which is 'devoted to commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace both within and among all nations' (UN GA resolution 36/67), and further recognised by the UK sponsored UN GA resolution 36/67), and further recognised by the UK sponsored UN GA resolution 55/282, marking it as a day of global ceasefire and non-violence; furthermore pledges to do whatever it can to promote this day, and its values, within parliamentary constituencies in order to further the objectives and vision incorporated within the UN General Assembly resolutions.
