BREATHE EASY WEEK PULMONARY REHABILITATION CAMPAIGN
That this House supports the British Lung Foundation's call for increased access to pulmonary rehabilitation for people living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD); regrets that an estimated 2.5 million people in the UK suffer from COPD; further regrets that only approximately 1.7 per cent. of the total patients diagnosed with COPD have access to pulmonary rehabilitation; congratulates the hundreds of people who will support Breath Easy Week by taking to the streets across the UK on 13th June to raise awareness of lung conditions and to call for increased availability of pulmonary rehabilitation; and urges the Government to ensure this highly beneficial treatment is available to all who could benefit from it.
