Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Alan Meale (Labour), on Wednesday, 9 June 2004, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 58 members in total.
ALLERGY SUFFERERS
That this House is alarmed that an estimated 18 million people in Britain suffer allergies, many of which are severe and complex; is shocked that specialist doctors dealing with this major health problem are currently insufficient for needs, causing patients to make long journeys and delays for their treatment; and calls upon the Government to recognise the seriousness of the present unacceptable situation and to take immediate action to invest in future treatment for sufferers.
