AFFORDABLE HOUSING(2)

That this House is deeply concerned at the decline in the affordability in housing, particularly so in respect of first-time buyers; notes with concern the increase in house prices all over the UK, particularly in Gwynedd where property prices increased by 57 per cent. last year, in West Glamorgan where property prices increased by 56 per cent. and in areas of the North East of England and Scotland where prices rose by more than 40 per cent.; and calls on the Government to pursue provisions for affordable housing in Wales and in other parts of the UK with vigour equal to that which is being applied to the lack of affordable housing in the South East of England.
