Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor David Burnside (Ulster Unionist Party), on Monday, 15 March 2004, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 17 members in total.
POST OFFICE CLOSURES IN NORTHERN IRELAND
That this House is concerned at the plans to close 21 post offices in Northern Ireland; fears the closures will especially hit the elderly and disabled; calls on local residents in areas like Woodford, Newtownabbey and across the Province to petition the Post Office to maintain and expand local community services through its existing network.
