Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Jim Sillars (Scottish National Party), on Wednesday, 17 July 1991, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 3 members in total.

LABOUR NUCLEAR POLICY

That this House, noting the policy commitment of the Right honourable Member for Gorton that Labour will maintain Trident on the Clyde, despite a Scottish Labour Conference decision to the contrary, calls upon Strathclyde Regional Council to either abandon its stance as a nuclear-free authority or publicly condemn the policy set out by Labour's Shadow Foreign Secretary; and believes a failure on the part of Strathclyde Region's Labour Group to so act will be another demonstration of total hypocrisy and abandonment of principle by a Labour organisation.
