SEX OFFENDERS IN BAIL HOSTELS

That this House recognizes the legitimate concerns of police and local authorities and communities over the current practices used when sex offenders are located in bail hostels; and believes that, whether or not sex offenders have already served a sentence, proper notice should be given to the police, local authorities and honourable Members, as was the case before 2001; and that hostels should not be used if they are next to schools or other facilities for young people which are used to house young people on remand.
