DRUG TREATMENT PERFORMANCE DATA

That this House notes the recent performance data released by the National Treatment Agency for Substance Misuse (NTA) and the Department of Health, which has revealed significant improvements in the delivery of drug treatment, a 41 per cent. increase in the numbers of people accessing treatment, average waiting times dropping by almost two thirds in the last two years, with a 23 per cent. increase in the numbers of people working in this sector; and calls upon the Government to congratulate all involved in these achievements and to provide resources to enable the NTA to publish in future waiting times and workforce data on a quarterly basis nationally, regionally and locally in order to monitor continued delivery of service levels.
