Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Lord Cryer (Labour), on Tuesday, 27 January 2004, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 27 members in total.

TRIDENT

That this House notes the lack of a coherent role for the Trident system within Britain's defence network as set out in the Government's defence White Paper; further notes that the technology upon which Trident was based has now been outstripped; and calls on the Government to follow the example of South Africa and abolish the UK's nuclear arsenal.
