Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Harry Cohen (Labour), on Wednesday, 26 November 2003, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 34 members in total.
IRAQI DEATHS
That this House notes the report Continuing Collateral Damage: The Health and Environment Costs of War on Iraq 2003 by the international health charity MEDACT, which indicates that between 21,700 and 55,000 people died between 20th March and 20th October, and that limited access to clean water and sanitation, as well as poverty, malnutrition and disruption of public services, including health services, continue to have a negative impact on the health of the Iraqi people; and does not share the apparent view of those responsible, who fail to record or report these matters, that those deaths are unimportant.
