Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Liam Fox (Conservative), on Tuesday, 1 February 2005, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 45 members in total.

COSSHAM HOSPITAL

That this House notes the valuable service to the local community of Kingswood and the wider surrounding area provided by Cossham Hospital, which was bequeathed in perpetuity to the people of Kingswood by Handel Cossham MP and opened in 1907; expresses its concern at the proposals put forward in the context of the Bristol Health Services Plan for its closure, especially in the light of no adequate alternative proposals for improved local healthcare; and therefore calls on the North Bristol NHS Trust and the Government to reconsider and to formulate new proposals which command the confidence and support of local people in regard to the future of Cossham Hospital.
