Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Tony Wright (Labour), on Tuesday, 1 February 2005, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 23 members in total.

SUCCESSION TO THE CROWN

That this House notes the introduction of the Succession to the Crown Bill, introduced in the House of Lords by Lord Dubs and in the House of Commons by the Right honourable Member for Dewsbury; applauds the Fabian Society's Monarchy Commission on which it is based; believes that the reforms proposed in the Bill to end gender discrimination in the line of succession and the bar on the heir to the throne marrying a Roman Catholic are long overdue; and calls upon the Government to give its support to this measure.
