ROADS IN MID WALES

That this House expresses its concern at the inadequacy of the A470 and A483 trunk roads through Mid-Wales; regrets the Welsh Office's lack of strategy for the development of these roads; deplores the failure to announce a starting date for the construction of the Welshpool relief road; and calls upon the Secretary of State for Wales to bring forward immediate plans to relieve the growing congestion caused by through traffic which is choking Newtown.
