ST PATRICKS DAY

That this House calls on the Government to provide for St Patrick's Day, 17th March, to become an annual public holiday in Northern Ireland, in recognition of the feast day of Ireland's Patron Saint and the celebrations that are organised by local government authorities and community groups across the communities, and as a measure to assist reconciliation, as St Patrick is espoused by all Christian traditions.
