SMOKING IN PUBLIC PLACES (No. 2)

That this House welcomes the introduction of the Smoking in Public Places (Wales) Bill, introduced by the honourable Member for Cardiff North, that would give the National Assembly for Wales the power to decide on whether to ban smoking in all public places in Wales; notes the recent Public Health White Paper and welcomes its intention to take action against smoking in England; but believes that all employees are entitled to the same health and safety protection with no exemptions made from smoking restrictions for either pubs or private clubs.
