Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor John Austin (Labour), on Monday, 14 March 2005, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 40 members in total.
St HELENA
That this House welcomes the outcome of the feasibility and other investigatory work carried out by the Government to ensure future access for St Helena when the RMS St Helena is withdrawn from service; and believes that the provision of air access will arrest the depopulation of the island, enable the development of a vibrant island economy, allow sustainable economic development and provide progress and prosperity for the people of St Helena.
