TREATMENT FOR ALZHEIMER'S
That this House notes the comments made by the hon Member for South Thanet on the National Institute for Clinical Excellence's (NICE) draft guidance on drugs for Alzheimer's; welcomes the Minister's statement that NICE should consider the wider implications of not approving Alzheimer's drugs' use, especial ly the benefits and costs to carers as well as patients; calls on NICE to reconsider the proposals to discontinue the prescription of Alzheimer's drugs on the NHS; and urges Ministers to listen closely to the concerns of honourable Members and their constituents on the Alzheimer's Society lobby of Parliament on 16th March.
