Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Gregory Campbell (Democratic Unionist Party), on Wednesday, 23 March 2005, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 9 members in total.
FUNDING FOR EDUCATION IN NORTHERN IRELAND
That this House notes the cuts that have been announced in education services in Northern Ireland; deplores the fact that many well-run schools are faced with an impossible position of trying to maintain what is rightly regarded as the best education system in the United Kingdom in the face of such cutbacks; and calls upon the Secretary of State to indicate support for such well-run schools by ensuring that adequate funding is in place to continue the educational excellence for which Northern Ireland has become so well known.
