INSPECTION OF LICENSED COAL MINES
That this House expresses deep concern and sympathy at the death of Jeff Jones, a Rhondda miner, at the Wem Tarw licensed coal mine at Pencoed, Mid Glamorgan, and asks the Secretary of State for Energy to hold an immediate inquiry into the safety standards at this and other licensed coal mines and to publish quarterly statistics on safety inspections in those mines.
