Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Oliver Heald (Conservative), on Tuesday, 17 May 2005, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 67 members in total.

HER MAJESTY'S STATIONERY OFFICE

That this House expresses its deep concern that Her Majesty's Stationery Office has been downgraded and given the new title of the Office of Public Sector Information; deplores the fact that this is yet another example of the Government pointlessly attempting to change the name of a department; expresses its disquiet at the wiping out of the UK's historic ties with royal institutions as has previously happened with the Prison Service, Northern Ireland's Police Service and Consignia; and calls upon the Government to re-establish the royal connection to Her Majesty's Stationery Office.
