Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Gregory Campbell (Democratic Unionist Party), on Tuesday, 24 May 2005, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 10 members in total.
PARAMILITARY VIOLENCE IN NORTHERN IRELAND
That this House notes the continuing activity carried out by paramilitary groups in Northern Ireland; is appalled that any political party aspiring to be part of the government in Northern Ireland can be, in the words of the Prime Minister `inextricably linked' to such activity; and calls upon all democratic political parties to carry their opposition of such activity to its logical conclusion and ensure that a form of government is established in Northern Ireland that precludes the involvement of any such criminal elements.
