Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor John Hughes (Labour), on Thursday, 28 February 1991, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 51 members in total.
ABOLITION OF HARE COURSING
That this House warmly congratulates the League Against Cruel Sports for its initiative in arranging for a cross-party delegation of Members of Parliament and councillors to visit the Waterloo Cup to witness the needless, cruel and barbaric so-called sport of hare coursing; and calls upon the Government to introduce legislation at the earliest possible opportunity to outlaw this practice.
