CARIBBEAN SUGAR PRICES
That this House is concerned at the impact upon the Caribbean economies of Barbados, Belize, Guyana, Jamaica and St. Kitts and Nevis as a result of the EU's proposed 36 per cent. reduction in sugar prices over the next four years; and urges the Foreign Secretary and the Secretary of State for International Development to ensure that the long-standing relationship between the United Kingdom and the nations of the Caribbean is favourably reflected in the proportion of support available to sugar-protocol nations within the Caribbean.
