Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Greg Hands (Conservative), on Tuesday, 16 May 2006, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 10 members in total.

RECOMMISSIONING OF CONCORDE AS ROYAL AIR FORCE ONE

That this House calls upon the Government to bring a Concorde jet back into service as a new Royal Plane entitled `Royal Air Force One'; recognises the prestige lost to the country when supersonic flights were cancelled; accepts that Concorde may not be commercially viable but could act in a Royal capacity, surpassing jets used by other Heads of State; notes the unrivalled safety record of the British-operated Concordes; and deplores the way the jets are being left to decay.
