ADVISORY, CONCILIATION AND ARBITRATION SERVICE

That this House recognises the unique service offered by the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS) and its extremely important contribution to good industrial relations, which is recognised and supported by both employers and employees; notes that its employment tribunal conciliation service alone saves the taxpayer ??51 million; and therefore calls on the Government to ensure that ACAS is able to continue to provide this important service.
