25th ANNIVERSARY OF THE LIBERATION OF THE FALKLAND ISLANDS
That this House notes the comments made by the Veterans Minister announcing plans to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the liberation of the Falkland Islands next year; welcomes this commitment to honour those who served in the armed forces to free the Falkland Islands; remembers the central role played by Baroness Thatcher in ensuring the Union Flag still flies over Port Stanley; and urges the Government to work closely with the Opposition to ensure that the commemoration next year will be truly worthy of veterans.
