Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Lord Ashley of Stoke (Labour), on Friday, 25 January 1991, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 58 members in total.

SUPPORT FOR SERVICE PERSONNEL WOUNDED IN THE GULF

That this House believes that a benevolent fund under charity law, as announced by the Secretary of State for Defence, is the wrong way to provide support for service personnel wounded in the Gulf and their families; and calls upon the Ministry of Defence to provide full and comprehensive help as of right on the basis of need.
