FOOD FROM THE SOUTH WEST

That this House recognises the increasing public interest in local food and congratulates producers in the South West who have set out to meet this demand by the production of high quality food and the use of local brands; further recognises the work of Taste of the West in working with individuals and groups of businesses to promote regionally branded products and develop their businesses to meet the demand; further recognises the support role provided by Taste of the West to Somerset Food Link rather than duplicating their role; and congratulates all those producers, many of whom are not members of Taste of the West, who have received awards for their excellence.
