Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Stephen Pound (Labour), on Tuesday, 8 May 2007, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 98 members in total.

USE OF IMAGES BY THE BRITISH NATIONAL PARTY

That this House notes with concern that the British National Party (BNP) has used the image of Mr Peter Moore, London's Town Crier and a Tooting resident, on a leaflet without his permission or knowledge; resents the implication that Mr Moore supports the BNP and notes that he has publicly stated that he does not agree with what the party stands for; regrets the distress that this has caused Mr Moore; calls on the BNP to issue a full apology, acknowledging that Mr Moore does not support them; and further calls on the BNP to cease distributing leaflets containing Mr Moore's image, to recall such leaflets that have already been circulated and to confirm that no photographs have been used of any other individual in any BNP material without express permission.
