THREATENED ARREST OF TRADE UNIONISTS IN IRAQ

That this House expresses its concern at recent reports of the threatened arrests of trade union leaders in Iraq following strikes by oil pipeline workers this month; and calls upon the Government to support the statement by the General Secretary of the TUC to the Iraqi government that military intervention is not the way to resolve industrial disputes.
