MARY'S PRAYER CAMPAIGN AND THE CHORLEY GUARDIAN
That this House congratulates the Chorley Guardian for initiating the Mary's Prayer campaign; notes that the campaign is centred upon Mary Wilson, a local councillor and former Mayor of Chorley, who is suffering from cancer, with the aim of raising much needed funds to help fund cancer research and treatment; recognises that so far Mary's Prayer has raised over ??42,000; pays tribute to the efforts of the editor of the Chorley Guardian, Mr Christopher Maguire, whose vision and drive has ensured that the campaign has been a success; and wishes the Chorley Guardian and all those involved with the campagin the very best for the future in their fundraising activities.
